Poetry Night: A Gathering of Mountain Voices
Sunday, September 29 | 4 PM - 6 PM

Free Event

Celebrate the beauty of poetry and music at "Poetry Night: A Gathering of Mountain Voices" on September 29th from 4 PM to 6 PM. This free event features readings by distinguished poets Joyce Enzor Maust (2024 Emerging DDOA Fellow for Literature: Poetry Winner), Linda Blaskey (2022 Masters for Literature: Poetry from DDOA), and Jim Bourey (Organizer of Poetry Reading series at Downtown Artist Center in Malone, NY). Each speaker represents different mountain ranges: Appalachians (Joyce), Ozarks (Linda), and Adironacks (Jim). Enjoy soulful jazz saxophone music by Michele Danette and savor delicious offerings from Memories by the Bite, including charcuterie boards and flavored water. This evening kicks off with check-in and music from 4 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by introductions and readings, mingling and refreshments, and concludes with more music, food, and book autograph opportunities. Don't miss this inspiring evening that celebrates the voices of poets from different mountain ranges.
