4th of July Creative Studio: Patriotic Windsock

Thursday, July 4, 2024 | 11 AM-2 PM

Free (No registration necessary)

Join us at The Biggs Museum of American Art for a festive and creative experience as part of Dover's citywide 4th of July celebration! From 11:00 am-2:00 pm, children and families are invited to participate in a hands-on art project where they can create their very own patriotic windsock. This fun and engaging activity will allow participants to express their creativity while celebrating Independence Day.

Our patriotic windsock project is designed to be enjoyable and accessible for all ages. Kids will have the opportunity to decorate their windsocks with vibrant red, white, and blue materials, making a beautiful and festive decoration to take home. The activity is free, and no registration is required--just drop in and join the fun!

Additionally, enjoy free admission to The Biggs Museum all day from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Explore the museum's rich collection of American art, including special exhibitions like "Rebecca Raubacher's Horses & Other Creatures" and "Award Winners XXIV", showcasing the Delaware Division of Arts Fellowship Recipients for 2024.

This event is part of Dover's larger citywide celebration, featuring a variety of activities throughout the day, including parades, music, food vendors, and a spectacular fireworks display in the evening. Make your 4th of July memorable with a visit to The Biggs Museum and enjoy a day full of art, fun, and festivities.

We look forward to celebrating with you and your family!
